He's so esteemed, so revered. The Duran love him. He's a privilege to host. He's so sustainable. But, ultimately, he sounds like an eco-fascist. Is he? Or am I over reacting?
From a quick look at Mr Sachs Wikipedia page I get the impression he has some sensible things to say on various issues but by no means has a handle on everything.
A lot of what economists do is just theoretical so all to often they just make a pig's ear of things. They have to have a view on things to justify their jobs but I think we could do well without them.
