‘There’s a real strong sense of excitement, expectation, anger as well. They want to see this man dead. They don’t just want justice to be done, they want to see it being done, not just for his crimes, but for the boundless cruelty of the Assad regime.’
Jeremy Bowen, BBC.
Vanessa Beeley comments on Jeremy Bowen in Syria: “This is not journalism, this is jingoism.”

As previously repeated on my Substack, the BBC assisted in this ‘regime change’. Juliette Harkin, former BBC Media Action Project Manager and an expert on Syria states… “we [BBC Media Action] worked in 2004 with individuals within the [Syrian] ministry who wanted change and tried to get them to be the drivers of that. All media development work that has been done within Syria has, in my opinion, been predicated upon this idea that there can be change from within – you have an authoritarian regime and you find who the reformers are within that [regime] and work with them…”
Vanessa Beeley’s former colleague at UK Column, Patrick Henningsen posts on Twitter X:
‘This is so patronising: how Western media have taken a known killer, a terrorist, and thrown a suit on him, and are now telling you he’s done his act of contrition by overthrowing the ‘Assad regime’… in exchange for a Al-Qaeda regime. Truly disgusting levels they’ve sunk to now…’

Hello Ned.. I have just watched this week's UKC News. Thanks for the prompt (I love your Christmas card by the way). I have not watched UKC for over a year (one of the reasons was because I couldn't stomach David Scott's response to the October 07 2023 event). Is Scott still part of he UK Column team? I notice he was not a participant in the end of year programme today. I am capable of listening to people with differing opinions, but Scott got quite shirty and patronising in a message thread on a UKC message board. He was actually pushing the 'forty beheaded babies' story long after it had been discredited. Talk about arrogant! Also, sometimes it is too much to absorb wall to wall 'bad news' about the WHO and the rest of the cabal. I had to go elsewhere for my information and I had to stagger it out.
Regarding surveillance and data harvesting: I do not use a 'smart' phone or any other 'smart' appliance, including meters, a TV or Alexa. I have no online big tech accounts (Amazon/Uber/Paypal etc). I do own a 'loyalty' card for ANY shop on this planet (I always had my suspicions). Now the supermarkets are engaging in blatant racketeering with the two-tier price system. I use cash almost all the time. If any outlet refuses to accept it, then I take my custom elsewhere. I am incredulous that people have signed up for the NHS App. I steer clear of hospitals and GPs. I do not take pharmaceuticals which are the real reason people are ill. What worries me is the digital ID. Will this be the final blow which topples me? I will fight until my last breath!
By the way: I heard of a plumber who was investigated by HMRC because his spending (using his loyalty cards) did not reflect his income. In other words, it became apparent that he was engaging in 'cash' jobs and not declaring it. Using cash AND a loyalty card is futile if you want to hide your spending from the tax man. Cash and cash alone is the only way to avoid being surveilled.
